IT’S NO SURPRISE THAT BANANA BREAD was born out of necessity. Anyone who has bought more bananas than they can eat in a week knows what ripe, black banana glut looks like.

Do you toss them? Add them to garden compost? Or make banana bread? (Correct answer is to make the bread. My husband knows never to toss blackened bananas!)
