I only started using red wine vinegar about 4 years ago for a trout salad recipe I was given and at that time I bought "Great Value" Red wine vinegar from Walmart. This year I was buying a bottle to give to a friend for a Cole slaw recipe I had given her. I was at a different store and bought "Pompeian" brand. I have to say I just didn't like that brand so I am still using "Great Value" from Walmart. I guess my taste buds are not very flexible! I use it now mainly in coleslaw; I prefer that to mayo although sometimes I add a small amount of mayo.
I have always used Monari Federzoni's Balsamic vinegar, but I haven't tried their other vinegars.
Thanks Denise! It makes a very good Panzanella!
The tragic news from central Texas is covered here in the Uk. Rest assured our thoughts are with them. Julie
Thank you, Julie, for always sharing news and perspective from the UK.
Great post today, Anne.

Good tip about Great Value, Deborah. House brands are often great value!
