Missing my South Carolina peaches so much. I'm in Texas right now and just have to say, sorry Texas. I know y'all are trying hard with your peaches, but no.
Our N.E. Ohio peach truck shipments arrives tomorrow...1st time for me to order. I have friends who don't know a ripe peach should run down your arm and NOT crunch
This brings back memories of the summer I was in basic training. They were peaches from South Carolina, though. My aunt and uncle owned a peach orchard and brought some to me while I was in AIT (advanced individual training) at Fort Jackson. The four girl room I was in smelled so good and we all stood at an open window to each the peaches, as the juice rolled down our elbows and outside. That was in 1974 and I remember it like it was yesterday.
