Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Shelling peas straight from the garden is a favorite memory with my Tennessee grandma.

I've made this rice dish without knowing it was a recipe.

I love the photos, the writing style and the recipe. We grow fresh peas in our garden and I am very fond of them. I will for sure try this out once summer happens. New here but will be back! So indeed it was a stand alone post but one that gave me lots of great info and inspiration.

I look forward to your newsletter each week. I enjoy the recipes, and I sometimes make them.

Thanks for stating your opinion; even if others don't always agree (I always do), hopefully, it will give

them something to think about. Congratulations on two years!

Anne, I just ordered your cookbook Skillet Love. So looking forward to it!

My sister-in-law is an acupuncturist, and she points out that in Chinese medicine, spring is the time of the liver, and the color is green. All of these green vegetables support the liver!

I'll hopefully be putting in peas this week, if the weather cooperates (we've had temps in the 20s here in Missouri), and when they give forth peas in May, I'll definitely try this recipe. Or... maybe I'll get frozen so I don't have to wait. ;)

Keep being you, Anne! Thanks so much for your good grace and humor (especially when some mouthy Brit keeps sticking her foot in said mouth, hmm, wonder who that could be?), for saying what you think so well, and for the recipes. Congrats on two years !

Love your latest comments on gun control. Best of luck to all who are fighting for children’s right to live. Im taking a leaf from your blog to make that statement and mix it with a baking question. I’m looking at A New Take on Cake for Easter cupcakes. Can I put lemon juice and/or zest into thr basic vanilla ones and the vanilla buttercream frosting? What would you suggest? Cute picture of your grandchild!

Congrats on your 200. I love your newsletters & tell my friends about them. You’re kind to respond to comments quickly and your inspiration & lovely comments in your writing make it easy to feel like I have a friend in the kitchen watching over my efforts. Peas were my go-to green after salad when I couldn’t eat other veg for some reason so I’m with you there. Thanks for your opinions too - good on yer! So all round well done and keep doing what you’re doing because you’ve helped me to get cooking again after a slump. Many thanks.

The Triangle House looks AMAZING! I would love to see it someday. What a wonderful post during this green season of Lent. My Dad taught me to make creamed new potatoes and peas, fresh from our garden. Delicious!

I will never like peas, but I very much like your newsletter - recipes, history, and opinion, the whole package. And the green makes me so happy! 💚
